Alyn doesn't want customers just to buy one car from him, he wants them to buy their next one, then the next one and their next one again, as well as recommending friends, family and neighbours. His reputation is excellent, and having a good aftersales department helps to enhance his reputation further. His workshop, Wansbeck Service Centre, located at 3 Forrest's Buildings, West Sleekburn Ind Est, Choppington NE22 7LQ, fully employs Alyn's philosophy for customer care. 'Dealing with nice people is always important, and the staff at Wansbeck Service Centre have been hand picked by me for their professionalism, manner, knowledge and trustworthiness. It would be pointless to build up trust in a customer, to have it all wiped away in an instant by them thinking they are being ripped off.' There are many garages who are out to make a quick buck and don't care about their reputation. 'We are different, as it is an extension of the sales side where a hassle free experience is vital' explained Alyn. Being a member of 'The Good Garage Scheme' also give WSC credibility to those customers who have no prior knowledge of Alyn or his hassle free way of operating. Being a trusted member gives prospective customers the peace of mind that their vehicle will be taken care of with a highly respected industry standard.
Wansbeck Service Centre's reputation is growing nicely, as Alyn and his team are wanting. They moved into brand new, larger premises in November 2010, with state of the art equipment to ensure repairs, servicing, diagnostics, tyres, clutches, timing belts and all the other services that WSC, are carried out as professionally as possible. 'This doesn't mean higher prices, though' said Alyn. 'Our labour rate is only £30 +VAT an hour, and it is broken down into 20 minute segments, not 30 minutes as it the norm'. Again, being fair with people certainly helps with customer satisfaction.
In August 2011, Alyn made 'a major signing'! Dennis Williams, who was Service Manager for Vauxhall in Alnwick, left after 24 years, to become Wansback Service Centre's Service Manager. 'I worked with Dennis for over 7 years when I was selling Vauxhall in Alnwick, and I knew how professional he is, and how important customer satisfaction is to him. As WSC was expanding, Dennis was the only one I wanted to help develop the business, and his eagerness to join us will ensure that our reputation will continue to grow and that customer satisfaction will get even better.' With Alyn's 12 years selling Vauxhall and Dennis's 24 years looking after them, the tag 'Vauxhall Specialist' is bound to follow, although Wansbeck Service Centre look after ALL makes and models!
